I put it into 4L yesterday to get out of mud. It is now in 2hi (i beleive) because i drove it home 70 miles without a light on or a problem. It can jiggle back into neutral because on the drive home the 4w light came on. I would like to know how to adjust the linkage on fix the issue.

 

Would you please explain in more detail? I'm not following what you're writing.

The linkage doesn't really need adjustment as its just a metal arm. But there could be a vacuum problem that causes the light to come back on.
