battery temp sensor

Default battery temp sensor

2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9 where is the sensor at to change it newer alt which was tested and good new battery got p1682 code for battery temp sensor so where is it locatedto change it

Take out the battery. It's on the bottom of the battery tray. I suspect you will have to remove the battery tray to get to the sensor....... unless you are REALLY flexible.

Maybe they moved it on later models, but there's supposed to be a thermistor on the circuit board in the PCM on my 95
