I also have the Uniden PC68XL purchased at Walmart. Uniden and Cobra are really about all that are left in the market anymore, and they are made by the same parent company. The only difference between any of the models is the goodies like noise blankers, anl, etc. Even the cheapest models have the same power output as the most expensive ones. The antenna is what makes the biggest difference. Find a radio that you like, use good quality cable to the antenna, and use a good antenna. The best ones are an 8' whip mounted somewhere (I have a cross-bed toolbox, which makes a great mount), or a Wilson or K-40 and mount it to the roof. Don't use any sissy magnet mount (no offense to anyone who uses them). Drill a hole and mount it properly (after all...isn't that one of the great things about having a truck

There were some posts on here about a month ago or so, showing a CB radio that mounted right where the ash tray goes on the pre-98 Rams. Looks pretty clean if you don't smoke in your truck. I think you can search the site for previous posts, if you are interested...

Here's the link to the other thread that was on here about a month ago.

I have a Cobra 29 WX (with weather radio). I have had it for years. I would suggest going to a CB shop at or near a Truck Stop in your area. The shop can sell you a new one and tune it up for you on the spot, or you can buy a good used one. Galaxy's are awesome radios, a lot of them have echo, reverb, talk back, and all the toys built in. You can get that stuff put in a 29, but it will cost $80-100.
