Sport or not shouldn't matter on your truck..... Key word there being *shouldn't*..... They just need to be single bulb housings. (and the turn signal....)

I did not include a link to TDPalmer but it is viewable by scrolling down. I contacted him but it is an eight year old thread.

I had major issues/expenses last autumn (Western Colorado Saga) so, two years later, it is time again to finally address the headlamp issue as I had taken the truck out during daylight, parked for a few hours and found that it is currently unsafe to drive at night. I found one blown bulb, probably due to standing water inside headlamp.
When I search on Ebay, the adds state that they fit '94-'02. I desperately need headlamps but am very concerned that they will begin to crack again within 1-2 years. Maybe stock are of better quality?
I did a search for indy forums and reluctantly joined "the facebook". One person replied "I got mine on Ebay" and when I asked for clarification....silence.
P.S. I also do not see the link nor remember trying to contact him...Below this is a thread from TDPalmer who had a similar issue that does not appear to be resolved. I will try to contact him.
P.S.S. My brother and I recently had a discussion as to why so many headlamps fade. My '99 Astro headlamps are still clear but the sidelights are yellow, which is the opposite of my Ram. He has the same issue on his Passat. Different types of plastic between the side lamps and headlamps? Why?

I got a set for my 96 from here. They were on the truck for seven years, and still look brand new when I sold it. Got another set from the same place for my 98. Those have been on there for six years, and still look brand new.

Keep in mind, Sport, or not, didn't make a difference before 98.5. My 98 is a Sport, but, it still has single bulb headlamps.

The sport headlights I purchased for my '96 truck were the 98.5 and up style sport headlights with 2 headlight bulbs per side. I wanted something to improve my light output and these fit the bill well, along with improvements from the relayed wiring harness I added. I did have to use a hacksaw on the fender light bucket to open it up to accommodate the deeper sport headlight housing. No cracks so far after replacement.

Getting rid of my old, faded/yellowed housing, new bulbs (sylvania silver stars) and the LMC heavy duty harness made a BIG difference in light output on mine. In hindsight though, going to the dual bulb setup would have been a good idea.

Atomic Dog...by "sport headlights" do you mean headlights other than stock?

HeyYou...mine only appears to have one headlamp bulb and one blinker bulb per side.

I just opened up the LMC site. I am leaning towards ordering the $94 stock headlamps as opposed to taking another chance on custom headlamps.

The $104 headlamps at 1A Auto look glazed but the side lamps look clear.

Shoveled a path to the truck and took this photo...
