All this talk of exhaust makes me want to get my FM 50 and 4" tips again. Not impressed by the glass pack as its too quiet. Can't get any looks.

I am having problems finding an exhaust that sounds like a V8 (doesn't have to be loud) that flows well but still has back pressure do I don't lose any low end power.

Shorties and custom bent. Or long-tubes, (pacesetter) along with their off-road y-pipe, (you can install a cat if you have to have one) then do 3" pipe all the way to the exit. Whatever muffler you use will determine how loud it is. Lots of vids on youtube for 'sound samples'.

I have shorties was going to get long tubes but they do the same just one is longer. I thought about doing true duals just didn't know if I'd need two cats or just one.

Haha, that'd make it more quiet! Any length of pipe after my gp makes it quieter. I had to add a couple feet to dump under the bed otherwise it dumped under the cab causing quite a vibe and seat rumble. It sounded terrible that way so I added the extension which helped but made it much quieter.

Long-tubes vs. shorties is just about where you want your power. Shorties are better for mid range torque, and give a bit of a boost in upper end power, long-tubes are more about high rpm..... Granted, you can compensate for low-end losses with complimentary mods..... and end up with a VERY nice power curve, but, with the stock kegger, you would still be leaving a fair bit on the table from the upper-mid range, to higher RPMs. If you are going to stick with the kegger intake, I would just keep the shorties, and do true duals. (2.5 inch pipe) And yep, you'll need two cats.

Well let's just say next summer once I get your axles I'm going to be doing a write up on them plus a write up on a Hemi swap AND how to build a 650hp 360 with no power adders so no I won't be keeping the stock kegger but still want a truck so mid to low is what I want lol
