98 1500 4x4 want shift into 3rd or Overdrive automatic transmission
I have a 98 ram 1500 automatic that won't shift into 3rd or Overdrive. I have replaced rear speed sensor, Governor pressure switch solenoid, sensor and spring. Also replace the TV cable .Put Mopar ATF 4 in it. Brand new filter. If I rev it over 3 Grand then let it drop back down it shifts in to 3. Then it's go to Overdrive but will not hold Overdrive. When put in reverse it jumps in and out of reverse. tried everything I have read and the truck still is not running right. It have 200000 mile

Probably time for a rebuild....
You can try disabling the electronics, (unplug the 8 pin connector at the trans.) and go for a ride. The trans won't have any automatic function though. (and no TCC, or O/D either.) See if it will shift into the gear you tell it to, when you tell it to..... if it won't, rebuild time.
