Default Axle nut

2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with 1500 access was reading here (and yes I have all the FSMs) and people were saying the axle nuts can't be reused and are left hand threads. I reused mine and they were right handed threads... Did I f*ck something up?

2WD or 4WD? Can you please post a photo of the front axle nut setup in question to help cut down on confusion?

To my knowledge, that nut can be re-used (if its in good shape) on a 4WD 2nd gen truck, as it is torqued in-place and uses a cotter pin to keep it from backing off. My original nut was pretty rusty and beat-up, so I did purchase a new one when I rebuilt the front end. It is standard right hand thread.
