Default Trans issues...

Guys..i have a 2001 Ram 1500 5.9 4+4. I noticed this week that my trans is shifting late between 2nd and 3rd and 3rd and 4th. Some times I have to jump on gas to get it to shift. Other times it's normal. I can't figure this out. I've had the trucks codes read and nothing is showing. I've replaced the output sensor because I figured it couldn't hurt. I've checked the TV cable adjustment and it was fine. The cable that attaches to the trans was good too. It was rebuilt a year and a half ago before I got it. I've read about the govenor solenoid and sensor in the trans but can those go bad and not cause a code to flash. Thanks for any input

Yeah, they have quite a few failure modes that won't set codes. May not hurt to start with a simply fluid and filter change, and a band adjustment. (and maybe a drain plug in the trans pan?)

Wouldn't hurt to check pressures either.
