Default 4x4 rear end inrerchange

So my friend has potentially ruined the rearend on his 01 4x4 1500. What other years/models will have a direct interchange? I'm trying to make this as painless as possible for myself as my last debacle with this particular vehicle was an engine swap to replace a locked up 5.2l. All help is very much appreciated. And I will apologize in advance for not knowing what differential is on the truck or if the 4x4 models are something specific

Thank you

You have a 9.25 Chrysler rear end. Any 9.25 from 95-current will fit, the biggest problem is gears.

Thank you for the input. It's factory so I'm sure the gearing hasn't changed. I guess I need the Vin and perhaps can get a build sheet

Where are you located?

I have a 4.10 rearend from my 2001. Truck was stolen the other night and taken for a glory ride which ended with a tree. But the rearend is just rebuilt about 5000 miles ago.

Unfortunately I'm located in sc. I'm not sure what gear set is in it though.
