Default Radio static

I have turned on the key wait about 20 to 30 seconds the odometer changes to no bus I can disconnect the Kranks sensor and it does not change anything I have checked all of my connections around my PCM and fuse box then pulled my instrument cluster and put it back in with the key still turned on the no bus light Will still come back on after a few seconds Paul the cluster and plug it right back in the odometer comes back a few seconds later the no bus lot comes back this is without turning the key off or asking for a new signal from the PCM or through the crank sensor when the no bus light comes on the radio also changes to nothing but static
I own 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 With the key turned on but the engine not running the radio has lots of static until I Press the brake pedal then the radio plays clearly.

This is also the same vehicle which has the no bus issue which returns even with the key on and not turned off at all simply by pouring cluster and placing it back in electrical socket about 20 seconds after reinsertion in electrical socket the no bus come back on

Removing/installing the cluster while the ignition is on is a good way to smoke various electronics.

No clue why your radio is behaving that way........

No idea on the no bus issue, but you have a bad ground in the dash area. The poor ground for the radio circuit is causing the static. When you step on the brake, the power to the brake lights is closing the ground for the radio eliminating the static. Check the antenna wire and radio harness grounds for corrosion or broken wires.
