those aren't the original bolts. It looks like the non-threaded portion of the bolts could be to long and the bolts are not pulling the trans tight to the engine before they bottom out.

Good eye jlake. That's what was making me think there was some plate missing. Like a flex pate or something. I have to pull tranny because when it went out, somehow it locked the flywheel up.
