haha I cant afford it either. With x-mas coming up its very hard to pull 800.00 out of your butt. But... thanks to the guys in the forum I was already going to go ahead and buy the 400.00 programmer to tune the engine. While surfing for the best price I ran across this new product coming out and the code reader caaught my eye. If you buy a stand alone code reader your looking at 400.00 to 600.00 plus. Since this product does both it isnt that hard to imagine why it costs so much. If you took the time and went to the site I linked you can read all the features this unit has. I am the kind of person who loves knowing whats going on with my truck. This product seemed to good to be true. Lets hope it all works out. And to the above poster - Yes the price will drop but I don't feel like waiting.

Is that display screen mounted in the truck somewhere? thats has got to be the coolest thing yet that I've seen. Can the screen be mounted in the truck?

Funny you should ask. I was looking for the best place to mount the screen (yes its a screen you mount with a cord into the port under the dash) I am going to build a angled tray that covers the center left air duct. When I shift into 5th and keep my hand on the shifter my fingers end up right at the left vent. There are two vents in the center and if I do this right I can lose one with out any real loss to heating or cooling. The passenger has two vents on the dash in front of him and there is really no loss if I cut one of the center left one out over the radio. The real challange will be making a mounting plate that will not damage the truck if I choose to re-sell it. Im thinking about popping the vent out and making something that slides in the vent duct. If done correctly I can make the mount a tad smaller than the screen so it looks like the screen is floating there and it covers the mounting plate. Time to warm up the dremel and hot glue gun.
