Default Seatbelt won't extend

So my seatbelt light is on and the belt won't come out. I know there is a module for the seatbelt under the middle seat. When I tap it sometimes the light goes out and the belt works. Is there a way to remove the module and still have the belt work? Also what is the module called? Also I can't seem to locate a new one. Thanks for the help, Greg

Seatbelt Module is the name. To my knowledge there is no replacement for it except from a junkyard and you can't remove it.
