Plenum bad again?
Hey guys. So for the first time since I did my plenum roughly 5-6 years ago but no more than 15,000-20,000 miles ago, I checked for oil pooling in my intake to see how well my hughes kit was holding up. I opened up the butterflies and shined a light in there and to my surprise I could see oil streaking as you can see in the pictures. I also remember replacing the PCV valve after I finished the plenum. Is this normal? Or have I got an issue somewhere?
I just started driving this truck again as a daily driver and have been fixing things on it. I just changed oil so I'll monitor any oil loss, but anything before that I can't remember if I ever had to add any or not. I know if does drip some oil.
On another note, when I was changing the oil filter I did notice a pretty good wet spot of oil that looking to be coming from the bottom side of the head to the block. Wondering if maybe that gasket is going TU and losing oil there. It's also loosing coolant somewhere (maybe from that same spot?). I want to get the pressure tester tool to see if I can find that leak. I know the heads on these trucks are problematic so maybe it's a sign that they are cracking.
