“No bus” odometer
Alright everyone, my new to me truck is giving me a hard time. Bought the truck, no radio and rats nest wiring, cleaned up wiring (still finding issues) now head unit comes on but no door speakers, played some more now we have working subs but still no door speakers. Have been leaving it alone for a bit now, new issue has come up in the form of that friendly ding from the dash, air bag light, no speedo and no bus on the odometer. Maybe coincidence but I pull the radio out it goes away (maybe just same time as when it goes away anyways) abs and brake lights on when truck was purchased, could my abs not working be related to this issue???
ABS is a side issue.
What year is your truck? I suspect that pushing the radio in, pulls on the wires the Cluster uses to communicate with the rest of the electrical system. None of your gauges read directly from the sensors. They get their clue from the PCM, via the central timer module. (basically, your truck has it's own little network, and the CTM is the hub.)
