Default No downshift when coming to a stop

Here's my situation. I've got a '00 with the 5.9l and the 46re transmission. My issue is that after the truck has gotten hot (sometimes I can go 15 or so miles with no issues) it will not downshift into first gear when coming to a stop. If I shift it manually it will go into first with no problems. Also, I have no other shifting issues when accelerating, only when coming to a complete stop. I have done many many searches on this issue and everything I have read indicates governor pressure solenoid and transducer. I changed those yesterday along with new Chrysler specific atf +4 fluid, new filter, and a new input and output speed sensors for good measure. I'm lost and any help would be much apprecaited

Unplug the 8 pin connector from the trans, mind you it will lose all automatic functions. Shift manually from 1 to 2 and then to D which will be 3. If it shifts when you tell it to you have an electrical problem not a mechanical. If it didn't shift when moving the selector you have a mechanical problem which will probably need a rebuild.

Ok thanks I'll give that a try today to see if I can narrow it down. Also, forgot to mention in above description that I have no DTCs.

To me it sounds more electrical. But do the test and report back what you find out FYI when you unplug that connector you will get a check engine light
