Default Overdrive going on and off

I have a 2002 dodge 2500 gas truck. I’m having a problem with the overdrive going on and off. The first time it does this is when you tap the brake pedal. I narrowed this issue down to the white and pink wire on the brake light switch. Second if you switch the heater control off and to ac the overdrive goes on and off with that. I’ve narrowed this down to the green and white wire on the heater control. Third when you shift it the overdrive light goes on and off. If you unplug the neutral safety switch this problem goes away. I’ve looked for shorts and can’t seem to find one. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You have a short somewhere..... going to need to look at wiring diagrams, and see where everything has something in common...... That is not going to be any fun to find.

Grab the 01 service manual from here. It should be close at least.

could the pcm be at fault? I've traced all these things back to a common plug on the pcm

It's possible..... Check that plug on the PCM, see if there is any damage, dirt, etc.

I’ve had a problem with the leak detection pump since I got it. It doesn’t get full voltage and comes from the same plug
