Default Mopar Performance Breather With Hughes Air Gap

Installed the hughes engines air gap and big gulp and now the air cleaner will not fit. Not even close. I don’t know if maybe because I have polyurethane engine mounts they don’t sag as much I don’t have as much room in between the intake and the cowl?

Probably have to use one of those triangle edelbroch filters or something similar. I know when I ran a 14x3 round cleaner it barely fit. You don't have a throttle body spacer, right?

I've seen some guys reroute the wire loom at the firewall lower down to give a hair more room. Unless the big gulp is taller than the oem tb you should be able to make it fit,

Thanks I’m probably just gonna do a enclosed intake like the volant or similar. Wish S&B made one for us! Anyone want a brand new mopar performance breather lol. And no shaker haha already have a brand new cowl hood on her. Once I get everything buttoned up she’s off to paint! Still need to order new aluminum rear shaft and front shaft but that 220xp cam from HIPOTEK sounds sick hopefully it plays the part!

I'll take the Mopar air cleaner! You talking about the 14x2.5 air filter? You keep saying 'breather' which makes me think of the valve cover crank breather.

When I put my airgap on I had to ditch the 14x3" air filter for a 14x2-5/16" because the throttle body adapter makes it sit about 1/2" higher. If you had a 2.25" to 2.5" tall filter it should work.

Thanks sheriff that helps me a lot! Wanted to know from someone who had a issue with it l. Def not a might fit tight thing. It won’t fit at all. I’m just gonna do a intake with a tube to the fender. Wish I knew before I bought it haha hughes says it should put everything back in the same position but who’s to say because before the truck had a 3” body lift so it fit. Thanks for the help guys!

I'm installing a shaker hood. Was thinking of getting the Hughes engines f1 airgap and big gulp tb to go with it also. Look up the shaker hood thread to read what I'm doing.
