so second time in 4 years ive had this truck break down from coil driver failure Ive changed the coil two years ago .Im not sure how old the wires are but replace the cap and rotor ,rotor was burnt and arced found a huge crack running down on the outside I was told be the shop I had replace the coil driver said the coil causes the failure ??? Think ill replace the ignition wires just so i know

Coil driver is part of the PCM. if you keep going thru coils, I would consider a different brand part.

 

Originally had oem in it for a coil when the first one popped then put in a standard ( blue streak) hard to believe its just the coil. Im not sure im going thru coils but have popped the coil driver twice
