94 deseil tranny hunting

Default 94 deseil tranny hunting

have a 94 desiel and it hunts up and down at 55mph and is slow shifting into secound when cold. some times you need to take foot of throttle at 2500 to get secound gear shift when cold

When is the last time fluid and filter were changed, and bands adjusted?

filter was changed less then 10,000 km back and previous owner maintianed fluid filter changes every 50,000km with reciepts provied. this started since truck was sitting due to previous owner having a stroke and losing license

Make sure you check the charging system. Reroute any wiring harness that is close to the alternator, and check for failed or failing diodes in the alternator. Induced voltage to the harness will make the trans act funny.

thanks for that one on charging system. the battery terminal is on list of things to fix today. positive is broken and secound battery connection is lose on it. dont know how its starting. other job is fifth wheel install
