Turns off when slowing down

I have a 2001 5.2 dodge ram manual transmission. It seems to stall on me when I'm coming to a stop or slowing down. I have to rev on the gas while I'm trying to stop to prevent it from stalling. This seems to happen the most when going at higher speeds.
