Default No 4x4??

Hey DF, I recently got this 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L but the 4x4 is not working. It’s got a lift kit and a body lift if that matters. I’ve searched the forums but haven’t found anyone with the same problem as mine. I put it into neutral and when I put it into 4H, nothing happens, no light or 4WD. When I go to put it into 4L, I feel resistance and feel/hear some grinding. I don’t know what it could be. I’ve already replaced the red and black vacuum lines under the passenger side starting from there. Any suggestions or questions?

First off you have to put the tranny in neutral to shift into 4L. Second it's the CAD at the axle that is bad. Pull both vacuum lines off the CAD. One line should have vacuum in 2WD and the other line should have vacuum in 4WD is it does indeed switch then it's the CAD that is bad.
