96 ram ac compressor not engaging

Default 96 ram ac compressor not engaging
I have a 96 ram 1500 5.9 gas. The compressor won't engage, its brand new and works great if I jump it. I'm getting 12v to both high and low switches but not to the compressor. To see if the high and low switches were bad I jumped both of them and still the compressor didn't kick on.. now what?

how much refrigerant is in the system?

To see if the high and low switches were bad I jumped both of them and still the compressor didn't kick on.
Check for 12V+ and a ground at the plug for the compressor. If you have both then the compressor has a bad clutch coil or wires going to it.
