Recheck fluid level now that you have driven it some. Also, adjust the other band, see if anything changes. If it still seems to slip in first, I would be tempted to see what the PCM thought pressures were doing.....

Ok, will do. Most would just blame it on the transmission but it did not do that at all before and all I did was change the solenoids and sensors.

Alright HeyYou, I adjusted that front band and drove it. Noticed it was a bit better but still not right. Checked the fluid again, on level driveway, in Neutral, with engine running and noticed the truck must have sucked in some fluid because it was about 1qt low. Then I checked go make sure it didn't leak out overnight, lol because i checked the fluid level 3 times after I serviced it and filled it and it was perfectly in the middle of the "OK" hash marks. Drove the truck yet again after adding that Quart of fluid and the truck drove and shifted smooth and beautifully except a consistent "Hick-Up" or say a consistent slipping when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Any more ideas? I hate to keep bugging you but so far you've had great advice. I'm personally a Powersports tech, so none of my mechanical career knowledge translates to an Automotive Automatic Transmission...lol this is like working on the space shuttle to me...haha

Slipping between gears is usually a band adjustment....... did you go by the service manual specs by any chance? Our one-time resident trans guru suggested that 2 7/8 out on the one band was too much, and suggested two turns out for both bands.

Yes, I did go by the books on both band adjustments. Front band loosen jamnut, torque to 72 inch pounds on the T40 adjuster then backed off 2 7/8. Same procedure on the band inside fhe transmission except that one was adjusted 2 turns out. I did notice it doesn not do the Hick-Up when shifting 1st to 2nd if I shift the truck manually on the column.

Still slips a bit in second? With 300K plus miles on it, I wonder if the band is just toast.......

Check TV cable adjustment, and make sure it works the way it is supposed to.
