Does anyone happen to have a ecm wiring diagram that will show what each "hole" in the ecm plug goes to what wire/part? I can find one all day long for the 5.2/5.9L, but not finding anything for the 8.0L.... truck is a 1994, 2500 8.0L v10. Looking like maybe a broken wire from plug to coil plug, though not sure yet, having a difficult time testing the wires in the connector to coil and getting for sure readings of live/dead wires...

Looking like it is the Ignition control module... which I am discovering basically means I might as well scrap the damn thing because cannot get one. Terrific... just what I want to do. Who had the bright idea to 1. Make these trucks with this, 2. Discontinue this part after a couple years and not make replacement parts, and 3. Why didn't another company make a replacement - they could have made a killing off of these things!!! How can ONE part make an ENTIRE truck useless??? Is there any work around that anyone knows of or a way to rebuild this incredibly frustrating little part??

the only other thing i can think of is find some kind of national or state by state junkyard search website.
damn things ain't cheap

Very expensive - the whole supply and demand thing. No guarantee that one will work or stay working... talk about a gamble. I am not having any fun, that's for damn sure. This truck was stored for 16 years, otherwise I would have been having these problems same time everyone else was... looking into rebuilding the ICM now (have emails into couple companies that deal with automotive electronics), trying to locate a replacement also in the meantime. I wish I could afford to buy a new truck, although if we get this one running again and I will pretty much have a new truck.... IF... otherwise I will have to tow it back to my house and watch it rot away in the yard I guess... THAT is a depressing thought since before this crap happened it ran absolutely awesome.

You can download the factory service manual for your truck from here.
Are 4 and 7 on the same coil pack by any chance?

yep they sure are. Replaced coil pack, checked wiring... no go. Checked plugs and wires, injectors, plugs are not fouled... all traces back into the ICM which from what I have found, ignites/controls 4/7 and 5/10 cylinders.

it sounds like your problem progressively got worse going from a misfire on cylinder #1 to misfire on 2/7 5/10 somewhere in doing your repairs. you say everything is leading back to the icm. is there a test that you're doing on the unit itself to determine that's what it is? in replacing your parts, did you determine the cam sensor was actually bad or did you replace it hoping it might help? these trucks have been known to have problem with aftermarket sensors (not that there are a whole lot of options these days). i don't know for sure, but i think those sensors can get progressively worse before going completely out. have you tested the crank sensor to see what it might be doing?
i'm wondering if your having sensor issues and its confusing you ecm and icu.
