Take the truck for a test drive. Make careful note of when the shudder is most felt. If it's right about 45mph, when the trans shifts into O/D, you likely have a slight engine miss. (tune-up, plenum, etc.)

 

That's right about where it is felt. It will do it in 3rd and 4th when the TC locks up. It has new plugss, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, throttle body cleaned, plenum replaced, front O2 sensor. Not sure what else to look at.

 

Have you reset the PCM lately? (like, sometime after all the parts were changed? )

What brand O2 sensor?

 

I have not manually reset the pcm. The last thing I did was the plenum and the ground was disconnected from the battery for a week or so. Not sure if that would reset it. O2 sensor is a NGK.

 

Hhhmmm..... Well, that takes care of those ideas.

What plugs did you put in?

 

NGK V-Power.

 

That shouldn't be a problem either...... Gapped properly? (don't trust 'em out of the box. Check 'em.)

 

Yeah, I checked them all before they went in and gapped them within spec of the FSM. Maybe this is why I'm the 10th owner of this truck?

Have access to an oscilloscope? Would be interesting to see what the crank sensor is putting out.

 

One of my buddies has one. We were going to check the plugs again, so we will check the CPS too. Part of me hopes it's that so I will finally have an answer. The part of me that would have to install it doesn't want it to be that...it's quite the pain.
