Well I've vac'd and filled it several times over the years. Once to replace a leaking liquid line, another to replace a leaking evap core and drier. I always just filled it based on capacity rather than pressure. I'd vac it down, and throw roughly 2.5 of the 12oz cans into the low side and close her up. They always went in fast and easy too, the cycling made it easy. This time around, it was a fight to get the system to take all 32oz because of the constant compressor run, but eventually it did, and the pressures are bang on.

I was just worried that without down time, the compressor would grenade itself.

It's funny to me to think that even right after the other times I serviced it, it wasn't working to it's full potential. I always thought the AC was just mediocre....haha

Thanks again for the help!

Nah. That's what the oil in the lines is for. So long as you have the proper amount of oil in the system, the compressor will happily run forever.

Alright cool. Compressor comes pre filled to factory spec with oil so should be all good.

Compressor has like 3 ounces in it, I think total system capacity is closer to 8..... if you used refrigerant with oil already in it, then you should be golden. If not, I would look up the specs for how much oil is supposed to be in there.....
