Stop by the Dodge dealership and take them for a ride. You can always fix it yourself later, so see what they say first.

Depending on how far and what speed, it could have been missed. I didnt find it for 2 miles.

pulled off a drum, short pad was in front.

I'm heading to the dealership....

I had similar problem when I made some adjustments to rear brakes. Everything was nice and smooth, until after a seven miles or so truck started to shake really badly. Took it to a bus stop and went to see the rear brakes. Left drum was really hot, so I just crawled under and loosened adjustment some. Problem solved. Had same thing on a Suburban, which had sticking parking brake cable.
Seems to depend on how tight the adjustment is, that how far you need to drive before the brake starts to stick.

So the tech drove it and said he couldn't replicate until he tried braking from freeway speeds. His immediate thoughts were rear brakes, warped drums. He said he would look at everything else in rear brakes but that's what he suspected.

They offered to replace them basically for the retail price of the parts from napa(they don't have many of the parts for my truck in stock at the dealership), as I was just in yesterday and spent a couple hours labor on front rotors and bearings

I'll be damned...

Shake is gone. I drove it about 10 miles at freeway and city speeds...brakes feel better at the pedal and truck doesn't shake.

Now, how in the hell did the tire place, replacing my shoes, end in warped drums. I was virtually symptom free before I had them inspect pads and shoes since they had it in the air with tires off.

glad that's all behind me now (rear brake pun)
