Yes you will need your tail housing from your transmission and some electrical connectors might have changed inside the trans (this will only affect if you buy parts for inside the trans)

Is the tailshaft the same from 2 to 4wd? I think there is a length problem there. In any event, you would be better off finding a correct trans.

His will work as a 4wd is just a tranny with a transfer case and short tail housing. Is he uses the one off his tranny it will work
