O2 Sensor
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with the V8 magmun with 5 speed manual in it. I just put a reman engine in it a 1000 miles ago when I did this i just cut the wires off the o2 sensors cuase the sensors were not coming out and cut off the rest of the exhaust off. I put headers on it and put dual exhaust pipes on it with no cat. Now my trucks runs rich and after you run it for 5mins and when you run it at 25-35mph it backs fires a lot and cause the the truck to jump around. Any suggestions on how to fix that problem without putting a cat back in it.
You need the front sensor, it determines your fuel mixture. If you just cut the sensor, then you still have the harness and can add a bung to your headers.

You guys should do a little research before ***** nilly cutting sensors off your trucks. Now you just caused yourself a whole bunch of headache. Download the FSM available in this section and look at the wiring diagrams.
There is probably a wire color code that is different for each sensor. Check the factory service manual and figure out which one is the front sensor. If there isn't, just try one - if it doesn't fix the issue, use the other. Mistakes are how we learn, don't sweat making them.... the trick is to learn/remember and not repeat the mistake ! :-)
