Tranny noise in first

Tranny noise in first
This is my first dodge its a 97 Ext. Cab 4x4 sport with the 360. The tranny has a slight whine only in first. Its not very loud but I can tell its there, is this normal or a sign of a major problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

my truck does the same thing when up in the mountains for some reason. I never hear it when im in the valley. if it does it often, i would take it to a shop and have them look at it.
also, get a bigger tranny cooler on there asap and bypass the radiator one, the stock one sucks (too small)
