Default Stubborn spark plug

I have a '97 Ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.9 360 engine. The #7 spark plug refuses to come out. it almost seems that with the heat shield the socket doesnt fit all the way over the plug for me to grip it and turn it loose. Any one else ever have this problem??

Yes I have, take the heat shields off (Yes they come off, not needed) and keep at it, happened to like three or four of my old plugs. Its a pain but you can get them out.

Yep, get rid of the heat shields, blow all the accumulated crap out from around the plug, and you can actually get a grip on it.

More effective to start bleeding on it, usually can't get it done until you've made the sacrifice.
