Resetting the PCM makes it forget how it ran the engine previously, so any 'bad' learned habits go away.

Yep, those are correct readings.

Use a MOPAR IAC, the aftermarket fellers just don't seem to work as well.

Mopar iac is expensive as downright dog crap. The one i got a year or so ago is a cheap wells off ebay. Between the iac and a new throttle cable, hopefully one of the two fix it. Just wondering what a normal 318 or 360 does at a cold start. RPM wise. Mines never been rite so idk how high or long they usually hold rpms before it starts to idle regularly.

At startup, it should flare to around 1500, then settle back down to 650-800. (lower RPM the warmer the engine is.)

Is that drop in rpm almost instantly, slowly, or very slowly ?

It should settle down to idle speed in less than a minute.
