Default Magnum v8 engine rebuild

Sorry haven't posted in awhile.

Got the oil pan off and cylinder 1 piston out. How do I get the old piston off the arm to put the new one on?

Also about timing... So with the mark lined up on TDC on the crankshaft the rotor points to #1. If I rotate it theark looks like +5 with the rotor pointing to #6. Is this correct?

I think the piston pins are pressed into the rod..... may need to visit a machine shop to have 'em swapped.

What about on the timing? Rotor at #1 is showing TDC. Do I need to rotate the cam or crank 180°? With it pointing to #6 it shows +5 on the dial.

The crank will make two revolutions to fire all 8 cylinders. With the rotor pointing at number 1 position on the distributor cap, and number 1 piston is all the way up, things are correct.
