Default Does this look like a fairly new rear end ?

It’s a coprate 9 3.55.
dude has a very nicely maintained truck that needs a good tranny is all and wants only 1k for it and he said he’d take out the good tranny in mine and help me swap it into the one he’s selling me.

he said he’s rebuilt his tranny twice already sand the tranny blew shortly after he moved. the city was about to fine his *** and tow the truck ( Florida titled) if he couldn’t find a buyer.

truck is in great shape but when I crawled underneath I noticed this is what the rear end looks like. It looks kind new and still has the sticker on it.

In my raggedy truck I noticed my rear seal is leaking. Not just damp around the seal but leaving a dry puddle underneath the truck so idk if the guy who put the tranny in on Tuesday tampered with it or if it was such a small leak that the seal over time just got worse but it’s time to cut the loses with that pos.

wish I would’ve saw this guys ad sooner before I spent the money towing mine and getting the tranny put in. And this dude is willing to put it in just to prove how good his truck runs. For free.

anyway he never claimed it was new but I’ve never seen a rear end that still looks mostly black on a 17 year old truck with the sticker in tact.

Is this a joke? Or wrong picture? All I see is an old rusty beat up axle and pumpkin. If you think that looks good, would wonder what you think of mine which is still shiny black at 242k.

whatever you want it to be big dog. I can’t speak on the pumpkin on my other truck but the rear end and seal looks like utter **** on the one that’s about to get scrapped.

Just never seen one with a sticker still on it and one that isnt rusted up the ***.

i have nothing to compare it to other than my rear.

Just because it has a sticker don't mean it's new. How long do you think it took for that rust to form on it?

It's what it holds inside that counts, not the paint/sticker on the outside.

Why don't you just change the leaky seal?
