Default 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 jerking

99 Dodge Ram 1500 jerking. Fresh tune up, rpm are good not slipping or anything. Tranny fluid is good. It’s jerking around 45 mph or more. Could it be an overdrive problem?

Engine missfire. At 45, TCC is locked, and the trans shifts into O/D. Any engine issues become blatantly obvious at that point. Need to find out why it's missing.

Welcome to DF! Moving this to second gen ram section for ya.

When I first got my '97 Ram 1500 5.2 a few months ago it did exactly what you describe and I also had a engine code for a low resistance coil. New coil, plugs, wires, cap and rotor did the trick. I could have sworn that the auto transmission was causing the jerking but it was totally the ignition system.
