Default 318 5.2 Engine swap

Hello i have a 1995 318 5.2 Y vin, i was wondering if i would have any problems swapping it with a 318 5.2 out of a 97 without an EGR valve. Also going from an auto to a manual and dont know what that consists of. Any help would be appreciated.
Also could i put a 5.9 in it?

Use your intake. You can use a 360 but they are externally balanced, you would need the matching flexplate/ flywheel. You need the ECM also, or have yours flashed to 360 files.

Can't flash the 95 PCM, have to replace it with the correct one for the engine.

So if i use a 360 with the matching flexplate/flywheel and ECM, will the nv3500 manual transmission hold up to the torque of a 360. Would the easier route be to just use another 318 5.2 even if it doesnt have the EGR valve?

If you don't beat on it, the trans should be ok. Choice is really up to you.

There's a member here who mated a 360 to a 3500 and it's doing fine. The specs on the 3500 say max torque is 300 lbft but that cannot be true since the 318 maxes at 300. It was probably a legal spec so manufacturers wouldn't overload it. But the most powerful V8 in our day was the 360 with 330 lbft (bigwhoop) so if you don't drag race with it, it should be fine.

I have a 1997 Dodge with a 318, I blew the connecting rods out of it due to a failed oil pump and I want to just replace it with the same motor but I bought one out of a 96 is there any differences in the motor besides the EGR valve. I used to have a Jeep and they changed some stuff after 94 and a half. I was wondering if it was the same for Dodge just in 96.

96 shouldn't have EGR either. (some of the VERY early ones did have it...)

Aside from that possibility, should be the exact same motor.
