Default Remove Cat and CEL for Off-Road Application

My buddy has a truck like mine except his is beat to heck, anyhow he wanted me to find out for him about cat removal and O2 Simulators. He is going to be using his off road with some guys and wanted to be mr.loud in the group so hes opening it up :P. He has a 1998 5.2 liter RegCab Long Box. He put a "test pipe" on but his car runs like crap and we wanna know if we buy this O2 Sim Casper Elec. Will it remove the CEL light, if we have it reset, and run better, not rich or lean however it is running. thanks ahead of time

As far as I've heard O2 sims work, but I've never used one or know anybody that has.

Just tell your buddy to leave the cat just get a high flow one and then put a single glasspack on it and dump it i used to run that and it was way louder than any of my buddies trucks were. Im now running 2 40 series flows that are dumped and its still louder than everyone elses.

u think if we put a sim on the cel light will stay off, i guess his main concern is the fact that when my rear o2 sensor went it loaded up and ran rich and crappy, he doesnt want that to happen if he removse cat and put the sim on.
