Default troubleshooting rear turn/parking lights

1996 Dodge ram 1500 automatic
I am having an issue of my turn signals and parking lights on the rear not working. I have inspected and changed the fuses/lights and the issue remains. The license plate light, brake lights, and 4 way hazards work perfect. The Front turn signal lights flash in the correct direction where the back flash at the same time slowly and dull.

Check for a bad ground and/or a rubbed/pinched section of the wire harness starting at the tail lights
working your way forward.

Have a trailer harness on your truck? Look at where that harness hits the main rear harness.
