Well I appreciate all the responses, just at a spot where I wonder if I should stroke it or do the 12v Cummins swap. These stock 360’s just seem gutless and just want a little more push when I get on the throttle.

Strokers are expensive....... of course, the cummins swap wouldn't exactly be cheap either.

Could rebuild the 360, better heads, better cam, better intake...... and a tune. Get what ya want, and still cheap and easy to maintain.

hahah yes either way there’s some cash involved, just trying to get the best bang for the buck. I tow quite abit and nothing too big. Just a 19’ jet boat. What’s the best way to somewhat compare to the newer hemis?

The newer hemis are significantly more advanced engines. More power from similar size engine. More efficient too..... Of course, with all the bells and whistles, comes more problems...... Nothing new under the sun. Have a read of the third or fourth gen ram sections for an idea of common problems. There aren't really that many.

You can swap a Hemi in these trucks. That would be your most expensive option and the one I am taking next spring.

ya I thought about that too. Yes it’s very expensive but I’ve seen there’s a lot to do to make that work

Not really. All you have to do is trim driver's side motor mount on the frame (not necessary but to get the engine to sit 100% level). Then you can but everything else already made (into about $3,250 last time I checked). Oh and a Hemi motor.

Is the 3250 including the Hemi?

No there just for the modified engine harness, brand new computer, pedal (which is drive by wire), and a few odds and ends. I got my Hemi for $200 as it had a rod knock. I am rebuilding it to make 650hp naturally
