I have a 2002 ram 2500 5.9 V8 4wd that has some strange electrical problems. They started today with the door locks energizing as I was driving over and over . Will happen with the truck parked motor not running, no key in ignition. Also the interior lights flashed on and off ,. When started the ABS light came on but went off after a short while but the engine will not idle unless you keep your foot on the gas pedal and keep pumping the gas. Engine seems to run ok as does the tranny but it won't idle, just stalls. All the while the door locks are energizing on and off. Set the alarm off also one time.
Anyone have any ideas where to begin to look?

 

Hows your battery?

I suspect your problems go back to the alarm. If it's aftermarket, I would start by check all its connections.
