Default Clunking sound

Sounds like it’s coming from the rear. It’s not rythemically clunking and didn’t happen until after driving the truck for a little right after getting it back after a tranny swap.

trannys don’t clunk they whine and grind AFAIK and the tranny shifts good. I got **** in the bed but something heavy slamming around wouldn’t replicate the sound. It never clunked when it was in my other truck either.

u joints maybe ? Haven’t checked with the truck up and in N.

The driveshaft came out of my old truck ( seller didn’t provide the ones from this one) and the ujoints where never noisy so idk.

roads are rough around here and I only drove for a little bit because my tags are expired so I didn’t want to get pulled over.

honestly was in a rush but I know it was intermitten.

I bought this truck for 800$ and all it needed was a good tranny so the suspension could be blown out for all I know.

lets not jump to conclusions ( like a chipped gear ;( )

anything that that can make this noise ?

Like dude... You gave us no circumstances about when the clunk happens -- under load, cornering, bumpy road, decelerating... Its just like I posted something about hearing a noise in my house last night and am asking you guys to tell me what it is. My only suggestion at this point is to check if your uncle Bob left his bowling ball in the bed of your truck.
