Default LMC truck bumper

Anybody ever bought a rear bumper from LMC truck? How's the quality? Last night I backed into a combine wheel being used as a fire pit for a bonfire a couple weeks ago (forgot it was there) and tweaked my bumper. Local junk yard has some for $210, but brand new one from LMC truck is $300. Mine was virtually brand shiny new, no rust or dents. Junkyard ones won't be as nice as mine.

I got lucky and found a nearly perfect rear chrome bumper at a salvage yard. It appeared that the bumper was replaced with a new unit and then later on the truck was involved in a front end collision. As such, the truck ended up in the salvage yard.

The rear bumpers are pretty susceptible to rust. If you can coat the rear of the bumper with a good anti-rust coating, I'm sure that will help it to last.

Got mine from RockAuto in 2015. It looked pretty good, and is holding up well - no issues.. although I did coat the back with rust inhibitor before putting it on.. 175 shipped to my door.VARIOUS MFRCH1102344 (CH1102344-EC)

I'd sell you my rear bumper that is perfect, but I think shipping would kill it

i've seen some decent ones at pick your part here locally in Dallas. cheap too. 210 is too much, even for a nice original.

Default I'm late to the party, but I just purchased a primed bumper from Rock Auto for ~$100.

I priced them on LMC too, but there was no way I wanted to pay those prices. This is for my work truck, so I can't justify spending a lot of money on it. I plan to coat the bottom of the truck body below the door moulding with Monstaliner to address some rust that is starting to occur, and I will coat the bumper with the Monstaliner at the same time.

I haven't installed the bumper yet, but the quality seems fine as far as I'm concerned. It can't be any worse than my current bumper, which completely rusted through about 10 years after it was installed by a body shop following being rear ended.

It never crossed my mind to look at rock auto. I think I'll head that route, unless one of you would be so kind as to sell me your pristine rear bumper off your truck? No? Ok, worth the try
