Default 02 ram van 3500 blower motor resistor

purchased my ram van 2 years ago, Ive owned several.
this one had an issue with blower speed, it functioned on all 4 speeds , but the first 2 were basically the same, just barely blowing, 3rd was not much better and high seemed very low.
Purchased a new mopar blower resistor and it worked great on all speeds for a while, now this summer it is the same as when i bought it.
Back in the day while working on my old Buick GS cars , that was usually tell tale of a blower motor drawing to much current.
This the same on the mopar ?

Entirely possible. They are work on the same principle...... and more current draw, equals more heat.
