Buy a good brand pump, and take your time doing the job, and you won't have problems.

It's like six more bolts, and a gasket set, to do the timing chain/gears. (and the harmonic balancer.....) If you have over 100K miles on your truck, it's time. On mine, with 190K plus miles on it at the time, it was the single best performance improvement I had done. Made a MAJOR difference in how the engine ran. Again, it's not a bad job, another 70 bucks or so in parts, (timing set, gaskets) and a bit more time. Just be careful when you pull the cover, break it loose on top first, and tilt it forward slowly, and make sure the oil pan gasket releases. Even if it tears, you can seal it up with RTV. (and use some on the timing cover gasket as well. thin coat, on both sides of it, just like the water pump.) Several of the bolts go into the water jacket as well, so, goop them up too.
