Default Mopar IAC even available anymore?

I couldn't find it when I looked on rockauto or Amazon, since aftermarket sensors seem to be so hit or miss or outright totally bad on quality I might just have to end up cleaning my iac and throttle body out...after approx 70 miles I still have a random low idle and the other day backing out to park correctly in my parking spot actually got the idle so low the truck stalled but fired right back up. For all I know it's an aftermarket sensor or possible original from late 94 still on my truck when it was made. Thinking about getting a new throttle position sensor for good measure too but are aftermarket TPS junk too?

edit: even though amazon claims this won't work in my 95 ram via their part checker, customer Q&A along with reviews say it'll work on the older rams and dakotas fine
Amazon Amazon

this part legit? I don't mind paying extra for mopar instead of a sucky aftermarket part

anything I should know when cleaning out the old iac/iac passage or installing the new one? I vaguely remember reading on here when installing a new iac to hold the pedal down to approx the normal idle rpm for about 1 min otherwise a new iac can have a tendency to stall out the truck?

When I do a search by part number based on a 95 Ram 1500, that's the number I come up with. (minus the letters.....) So, I suspect that will work just fine.

Reset the computer once you have it installed. (just leave the battery disconnected while you are working on it.) When you have it all back together, (including TPS) turn the ignition ON, (not start) and count to 10. (don't touch anything.) THEN start the truck. Giving the PCM a few seconds after the reset is so it can learn the zero values of the new parts. (and all the rest of them as well.....) Truck should figure out idle fairly quickly thereafter.

TPS is not quite so critical as some of the other sensors.... so, just a "Good" brand will work. (I have a standard motor products tps on the 8.0, and it works just fine.)

Pull the throttle body to clean it. I just sprayed mine out with carb cleaner really well. The crap came out easily. If it is stubborn, use something softer than the aluminum to clean it out. (wood is good.)

About to order it now, I thought my new battery had fixed the problem but it returned when I just came back from town, idle got low then stalled when reversing into my parking spot. No biggie, I'm sure it's the original iac still on it. I'm certain that has to be it, truck already has a full tuneup and new fuel pump lol.

IAC shouldn't just go bad. It's a motor and gets gunked up easily. Do a proper cleaning first. Search for my DIY here.

MY GOD THE POWER GAIN!!!!!

cleaned off a very gunked up iac and throttle body....don't think the iac has ever been cleaned before, I'd assume it's OEM. I didn't see Mopar or anything on it though. I left the TB on and just sprayed carb cleaner on the butterfly valves wiping off the top, sides, and what I could on the bottom as well as the side of the TB itself. Due to a DIY fix an old owner did by tying one of those thick fence wires from the TV cable to the TB bracket I didn't wanna disturb it when I discovered it, I suppose if anything it's a strength improvement over stock, iirc the stock ends were plastic. I'm not sure what the hell must have happened in the past but the very end plastic of the TV cable that would normally connect to that bracket broke off long ago. Sprayed in the IAC hole and pulled out lots of gunk/grime with my finger lots of times too. Hooked everything back up and gave the ECM like ~30 secs to "learn" the sensor data before I tried starting it....took about 4-5 turns of the engine before it rumbled to life, let it idle for a little over 1 min to make sure it wouldn't stall out and to let the ECM learn the idle even more, barely tapped the gas to reverse and the truck zoomed backwards almost going over the curb lol.....feels the same as my dad's 98 ram with rebuilt engine/trans with maybe 8k miles on them both. Maybe his has a tiny tiny bit more power since it's literally all new parts and new timing chain/gears as well, but geeze it feels like a brand new truck with lots more power now

I can only imagine how much more power this thing with have with one of those 52mm throttle bodies I heard some mention before, or some plug in tuner for more power and possibly better mpg too...

Glad you cleaned it but to get it proper it should be removed so the whole TB can be cleaned including ports and sensors. Just do not push in the plunger.

I got the Fastman 50mm a couple summers ago and yeah, it helped a wee bit, but nothing earth shattering. If you're happy, don't spend the money.

Thx for the info I'm honestly really happy with the improvement as-is. Upon some more reading many were saying for a stock 5.2 engine the 52mm would have been too much and 50mm was spot on. I do have a K&N CAI and dual exhaust but those weren't some night and day differences like people online claimed before.(Nor did they magically get me 20+ MPG like some in random forums claimed too LOL) Cleaning the IAC/TB out decently was a night and day though

barring any outright failures the truck should be good for years now, just did a full tuneup last year and new upstream O2 and MAP sensor for good measure earlier this year.
