Does it go out when you switch to high beams?

98 Ram 1500 sport the ONLY TIME my high beam indicator is off is when the high beams
So yeah I’m the “FNG”. I know that the high beam thing has been run into the dirt but due to rabbit holes and shiny squirrels everyone is so off topic that I’ve spent days and days trying to find something about my particular issue that I haven’t seen anyone else with my specific symptoms. Same with my no bus but I’m going to stay on topic. Specifics... high beam indicator on at all times there’s only 2 situations it’s off 1) no battery 2) High beams are on. Vehicle 98 Ram 1500 quad cab sport 4x4 5.9 vin z magnum automatic and a build sheet that appears to have every available option on this truck it does not however have sport headlights and the wiring is untouched. My specs ... learned how to rebuild small block Chevy at 8 yrs old heavy equipment mechanic factory trained in... Toyota fork lift Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Subaru .Journeyman production machinist/gunsmith I’m 52 and since I turned 16 I’ve had approximately 300 cars and pick ups and motorcycles I just want to know if anyone has had the same issues with the high beam ind. ps I joined here because of all the forums I’ve searched in the past 2 weeks you guys have your poop in a tighter group than all the others

Correct bulbs in the headlights? Do the lights actually work the way they should?
