Hello,

I am new to posting here and need your help. I have used this site for many of my repairs and found great tips and tools needed to work on my truck. I am having difficulty identifying this part and could use your help. I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport V8 5.9L. It would appear this part has one tube going to the engine just underneath the air filter and another hose going to the bottom of the engine area. Any help would be appreciated. I recently changed my oil and after starting the vehicle and giving it some gas in the driveway it started ticking on me while idling. I turned the truck off and then restarted and haven't heard anything since. I am curious to know what this part is and what it's function is. Thanks In advance!
