94 dodge transmission problems

Default 94 dodge transmission problems

I just bought a 94 2500 dodge the transmission was not shifting from 1st no matter what gear I put it in there was only 1st and park till it warmed up then it stopped moving can any one tell me what is wrong and how to fix it

Is the transmission low on fluid?

Either low fluid, or, rebuild time. Hope you didn't pay too much for it.

You can try adjusting the band via the screw on the outside of the case. If that doesn't help, drain the fluid and drop the pan to see if anything is broken that can be easily fixed. Short of that, it may be time for a rebuild.
