I called them and they told me to send it to them and they would make it right. The guy i talked to was very nice about it and said the bearing in it failed.

Every once in awhile stuff passes QC when it shouldn't. It's the downside of mass producing things.

 

Update. The whine is gone but now we have a great shudder. Felt it as soon as I started the truck. So im guessing the fixed convertor was not balanced right. So I'm going to go back to Napa and get a converter. These patc converters suck! Ive rebuilt 4 of these transmissions and never had a problem with the reman converters at napa.

 

Well the whine is back after 423 miles. The first patc made it 800 miles. They fixed it and it last a month. Felt the vibration as soon as i started the truck. Drove it 423 miles and its whining in all gears again and vibrating worse. These converters are trash!
